BATHING THE BUDDHA

Members took part in re-enacting Bathing the Infant Buddha, purifying our faults and remembering the blessings of the Dharma in so doing.
CHOTRUL DÜCHEN

Chotrul Düchen marks the end of the Losar (Tibetan New Year) period. We gathered to light butter lamps, pray, and rejoice in the miracles and blessings we each had in our lives.
LOSAR

Members of the society joined Wolfson College's Losar (Tibetan New Year) 2026 party! This marked the beginning of the year 2153 of the Male Fire Horse, and we watched performances, danced, and partook in eating traditional Tibetan momos.
HEART SUTRA WITH DR. BJARNE

Dr. Bjarne Wernicke-Oleson, fellow at the Oxford Center for Hindu Studies, walked us through a live translation and analysis of the Heart Sutra, a central Mahayana text on the doctrine of emptiness.
BASKET'S DISPLAY STUDY

Our first meeting, in Week 2 of Hilary Term, 2026, was a fruitful group study of the Basket's Display Sutra. Each attendee was welcomed to recite portions of the text and share their thoughts from their own unique perspectives.
